About “Big Ben” Goss & The Campaign

Benjamin is the oldest son of four, born in the early 1970′s, which was a time of significant political and economic upheaval in the United States. After having been raised in the upstate New York and western Vermont areas, Benjamin left for college to attend Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU). While at PBU, then Philadelphia College of Bible, he met his wife, Jenna Prather.

Benjamin and Jenna have lived in the Greater Philadelphia Area, the Greater Orlando Area, the Greater Phoenix Area, and the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area. Today, along with a Bull Mastiff named “Sophie,” they have 5 incredibly active and intelligent children, 3 boys and 2 girls, who range in age from 11 months to 13 years.

Benjamin and Jenna are active in their community and their church, and their children participate in activities ranging from music lessons to the Boy Scouts of America.

Benjamin Goss, and the Goss4Governor.Com Campaign Team officially announced his candidacy run beginning with seeking the nomination of the American Constitution Party as the gubernatorial candidate for the 2010 election cycle along with the soft launch of their campaign website: Goss4Governor.Com.

When asked why he chose to run for political office in the midst of the most challenging time in our nation’s history since World War II, Candidate Goss responded with the following:

  • One, it has been suggested several times over the past several years that I ought to consider running. At the time, the suggestion was outside of my thought process. However, with the onset of massive and significant economic and political upheaval, the time is absolutely ripe for change driven by powerfully persuasive candidates.
  • Two, I was specifically asked to run during this mid-term election cycle by several close friends. After spending some time in thoughtful consideration, and with the complete support of my wonderful family, I agreed to throw my hat in the ring.
  • Three, I have more executive managerial experience than Obama had prior to his run for the presidency. I have something to say about the abandonment of Constitutional principles which is being forced upon this nation, and it’s one word: “Stop.”
  • Four, “It’s About Time” for someone needs to have the guts to stand up and say what needs to be said without sounding wishy washy. It’s time for someone to show that they are utterly committed to princples that matter rather than being overly concerned about what the next poll numbers are going to say.
  • Five, “It’s About Time” for fresh vision, fresh resources and fresh answers by driving back to our foundational Constitutional principles which are the root of this great Republic.

The reality is that the Constitution Party does not need to dominate in an election. We only need to siphon enough votes away from the majority parties through educating voters of every affiliation as to the foundational issues at stake. From Democrat to Republican to 9-12′ers to Tea Partiers to Libetarians to Constitutionalists to the unaffiliated, everyone will respond if given the right information as to the policies of each candidate, the nature of their party, and so on.

Guns & Religion Blog … in short

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, then-candidate Obama stated that there was a certain set of our society that "clings to their guns & religion." While the Blog title and URL are a play on his criticisms, the purpose of this Blog is to provide a forum of exchange that demonstrates that those of us who are concerned about our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights are not only intelligent, but we are determined to keep them.

Now is not the time to be waffling on the Bill of Rights and allowing a runaway Federal Government to keep taking more and more away from its citizens. This Blog is about standing up and making the statement: "Stop, enough is enough!"
